Come celebrate the end of summer with an outdoor social event. This year's annual summer social will be at the Adlai Stevenson and Ellen Borden Historic Home in Libertyville/Mettawa, designed in 1938 by Perkins, Wheeler & Will.

Join us for outdoor drinks and snacks and indoor tours of the house. The cost is $15 for Docomomo Chicago members and $30 for non-members.

PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you are unvaccinated, you must wear a mask at all times when not eating or drinking. We will continue to monitor local, state, and federal guidelines and update attendees accordingly.

In the event of rain, there are awnings on the house that can keep attendees dry. The event will happen rain or shine. If you are interested in taking a bike on the Metra to the house as a part of a group ride to the event, please email Daniel Ronan at djronan@gmail.com. The ride will start and end at the Milwaukee North (MD-N) Metra Line Forest Glen station.  Also, if you need or can offer a ride, kindly inform Daniel and we will work to accommodate your transportation needs to and from the event.
