In collaboration with SOM and Wheeler Kearns Architects, please join the IIT/CoA PhD Program for "Preserving Midwestern Modernism: A Conversation on the Legacies of Chicago's Netsch and Graham Homes." Michelangelo Sabatino, IIT Professor and the co-author of Modern in the Middle: Chicago Houses 1929-75 (with Susan Benjamin), will moderate a discussion between SOM Consulting Partner Brian Lee and Wheeler Kearns Architects Principal Dan Wheeler on the challenges and exciting potentials of adapting a modern home to suit contemporary needs and aesthetics. They will be joined by current Netsch house owner Will Forrest, who will share his experiences of renovating and living in a space with such a storied legacy.
