Docomomo US/Chicago is seeking nominations for new Board of Directors for our 2020 election cycle to be held on September 10. The deadline for submission of nominations is Wednesday, Sep 2, by end of day.

We are looking for a dynamic and diverse group of people interested in leading our chapter. Docomomo US/Chicago’s Nominating Committee is seeking new Board members for terms beginning in September 2020. The Docomomo US/Chicago Board is an active volunteer board and its members are required to be Docomomo US members and are expected to attend and participate in monthly board meetings, working committees (e.g. programing, sponsorship, advocacy, member engagement) and local chapter events. There is no financial contribution required from Board members. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an interest in advocating for and protecting our built heritage for future generations. Board terms are either 1 or 2 years.

Individuals interested in serving are invited to submit a 1-page letter of interest and short bio, addressed to the Nominating Committee by email to info@docomomo-chicago.org  

A slate of proposed Board candidates will be elected at our virtual Annual Meeting on Thursday, Sep 10 at 6:00pm by video conference call.  The Board will approve a slate of proposed chapter officers at our October 14, 2020 Board meeting.
