Come one, come all to the 3rd Annual Docomomo US/Chicago Summer Social. This year we will be at the beautiful Schweikher House in Schaumburg, IL. Designed in 1937 by architect Paul Schweikher upon his return from a trip to Japan, this house is an early example of organic modernism and a true gem among modern houses in the Chicago region.

Considering COVID-19 precautions, we will be hosting a primarily outdoor event. Refreshments will be provided. All attendees, when not drinking or eating, will be asked to wear masks when unable to keep physical distancing of 6 feet or more. In addition, informed docents will lead small tours of a maximum of 6 people per tour with mandatory mask wearing. There will be three tours. Attendees may also tour the house on their own. PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
