Come join your fellow Docomomo Chicago members, friends, and loved ones in this first annual summer social! Take a trip to Blue Island, to visit Bertrand Goldberg's Heimbach House. Built in 1939-1940, the Heimbach House is the 10th work of Goldberg's 46 life works, featuring modern design elements of the architect's Bauhaus training. Built two decades before the architect's famed Marina City development, the Heimbach House represents the seeds of greatness to come for Goldberg providing a fitting gathering place to celebrate all of Docomomo Chicago's successes in the past year.
